GETTING STARTED

Before you do anything, look at these eight problems.  If you can do them, fine.  If you're like most people, you can't, or you can - but probably aren't sure of your answer.  Take a moment to solve all eight:

Another year of challenges. Of frustrations, maybe. For students as well as teachers – and parents.

Math.

Logs ... statistics ... fractions ... least common multiple ... greatest common divisor ...  do I divide or subtract exponents?  Trigonometry?  Matrices?  The list goes on and on.

For those who like math, these are easy! For those who don’t, or do but struggle (like me), I’m talking to you.

And I’m also talking to teachers tired – and frustrated – at seeing students miss problems they shouldn’t. This “low-hanging fruit” is not only hurting the kids, but it’s keeping the important test-scores down!

What can be done to fix the problem?  Teachers try.  Problem sets.  Lectures.  Time-consuming things.  Have they worked?

And tutors try.  You know how much they cost.  And who wants to listen to someone else give you a lot of problems to work on if you're not interested in the first place?

Does this all have to be so hard?  Can't something be done, right now, quickly, to address these problems?

Subjects seem to come at us from all directions, and the “tricks” to solve problems abound – and also seem to come “out of the air”.

It’s all so complicated.

But does it have to be?

Is it possible for one to show dramatic improvement immediately, not just in one subject, but a lot of things! Probability. Trigonometry. Logarithms. Fractions. Exponents. Scientific Notation. And a lot more!

And I don't mean separate lessons for each subject. I mean using the knowledge your student / child already has – or doesn't – and applying one simple thinking process.

One!

Here are 50 sample problems. How many can you do? How many can your student / child do? How many would you like them to be able to do – with 100% confidence?

Let's get going!

50 Problems Covering a Range of Topics

I claim not only can the best student get 40-45 / 50, but so can those who do NOT like math - WITH ONE SINGLE METHOD - using mostly knowledge they already have!  See below for problem sets to get you up and running ...

What Do I Mean by "Quick Start"?

By Quick Start, I really mean "Quick Start".  I mean "low-hanging fruit".  I mean not missing any simple problems.  I mean "I'm sick and tired of missing problems, and I wish I could do something about it right now!"

And I also mean redefining "simple" to include a lot of things!  Probability.  Trigonometry.  Logarithms.  Fractions.  Exponents.  And I don't mean separate lessons for each subject.  I mean using the knowledge your student / child already has - or doesn't - and applying one simple thinking process.  One!  That's what has been done above.
