Though much of the current debate focuses on the Sand Hills of Nebraska and the safety of the Ogallala Aquifer, initial criticism came from 50 Members of Congress, in June 2010, in a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, warning her “building this pipeline has the potential to undermine America’s clean energy future and international leadership on climate change.”

It's important to get facts on the table.
